• Welcome to our blog

Welcome to the Wired blog. Wired is a Christian worship course and series of Sunday evening services, run at Aldridge Parish Church (aldridgeparishchurch.org).

Wired is inspired by Colossians 1:16 "All things were made by Him, all things were made for Him". Its about gaining a deeper understanding of what it means to live a life of worship.

Thanks to Louie Giglio, whose book "Wired for a life of worship" has catalysed this whole thing.

Thirsty: an evening of worship & prayer 26/11/11

It’s time for our 5th Thirsty service. Do come and join us for a time of worship and prayer at Aldridge Parish Church on Saturday 26th November at 8pm. Again it will be an informal gathering, this time with @olinicholls and band leading the worship. Hope to see you there!

Thirsty: an evening of worship & prayer 15/10/11

This will be the 4th Thirsty service since we started. The service is gathering pace and growing, with people just enjoying the time and space to engage with God in worship and prayer. If you’ve not yet been to a Thirsty service, you are most welcome to join us on Saturday 15th October at 8pm. It’s a really informal gathering with @phil_wilks and band leading the worship this time around. Hope to see you there.

Thanks to micahchallenge.org.uk for the video and prayer resources. Please make a promise at whatsyourpromise.org.uk

Video: Aldridge’s got the Pop factor

As an illustration of how worship and entertainment don’t go together, we performed this sketch. Its a kind of a Britian’s got talent/X factor spoof. Hope you like it.

The sketch was followed by this talk from Oli Nicholls
